Window and Door Restoration:

  • From full restoration to simple tune-ups and weatherization
  • Full restoration includes removing all paint and glazing back to the wood before repairing, re-glazing, and re-finishing
  • Repairs consist of wooden Dutchmen or full part replacement, with epoxy used only to fill small voids
  • Re-fit sashes are re-installed with appropriate weather stripping
  • Hardware is cleaned up and restored to working order
  • Salvaged glass or restoration glass is used to replace broken or modern glass where specified
  • Jambs and sills are repaired while the sashes are being restored
  • Broken or missing interior stops and parting beads are repaired or reproduced
  • Excess paint build-up removed from the frames for smooth working windows and doors that fit appropriately for a tight seal
  • Lead and asbestos safe work practices followed on-site and in our shop
  • EPA RRP and Vermont EMP certified
